This 4 hour workshop is designed to help expecting mothers and their partners prepare for a positive and joyful birth experience together. Explore gentle yoga postures, meditation, relaxation and massage for a more comfortable pregnancy. Practice breath work and vocal toning to cope with the sensation of pain. Learn how movement and positions may lead to a more optimal birth. Birth partners will be empowered with tools for supporting the labouring woman both practically and emotionally.
This workshop is best suited to couples in their second or third trimester. No previous yoga experience necessary. Please note: This workshop is a compliment to childbirth education classes by giving the opportunity to practice breath, movement, positions and support techniques using yoga.
Please note: Because we care about you and your baby, a Par-Med-X for Pregnancy Form must be signed by your healthcare provider (physician or midwife) prior to your participating in class.
