Infant Massage Training Process

When you register, the following materials will be ordered within 48 hours and sent directly to you:
1. Infant Massage: a Handbook for Loving Parents (book)*
2. Baby Massage for Dummies (book)*
3. Fit 4 Two Infant Massage Instructor Manual (ebook)
4. Assignments (Microsoft Word Documents)

Items you will need to purchase:
A teaching doll.  (19-21 inches, soft body, hard hands and feet, moveable head)
Oil and bottles for your practicum classes (www.cranberrylane.com)

Step One: Theory

1. Read and answer questions related to provided books Infant Massage: a Handbook for Loving Parents and Baby Massage for Dummies.  Answers will be submitted and reviewed by email.

2. Read the provided Fit 4 Two® Infant Massage Instructor Training Manual and complete related tasks.  Answers will be discussed by telephone or skype with your instructor.

3. Written Exam. 

4. Create 4 class plans for review via email at least 5 business days before you begin your practicum.

Step Two: Observation

Our class observation is done in our scheduled Infant Massage workshops in Vancouver.  Click here for our schedule. If you cannot get to Vancouver, you can observe the workshop via Skype.

Step Three: Practicum
Students arrange a series of 4 practicum classes with a minimum of 4 volunteer families in their community.  Families will be asked to fill out an instructor evaluation form.

In-Class

Our in-class version of our Infant Massage Instructor's course takes place over two days and includes a written exam at the end of day two.  Students are expected to read Infant Massage - A Handbook for Loving Parents by Vimala Mcclure before the in-class course. Following the 2 day in-class course, students will organize a practicum with families in their community.

Final exam (80%+ required)

Practicum
Students arrange a series of 4 practicum classes with a minimum of 4 volunteer families in their community.  The will submit their class plans to the instructor at least 5 business days before their practicum is set to begin. Families will be asked to fill out an instructor evaluation form. The practicum must be completed within three months of the course.
