Dee is one of those women who confesses to skipping gym class throughout her school years. It wasn't until later in life, when she met her jock husband, that she became even remotely interested in anything related to fitness. Then in 2001, Dee entered a 12-week body transformation contest and she surprised everyone - including herself - by successfully placing 4th out of hundreds of competitors! She has never looked back.
Dee considers herself to be a true testimony to pre and postnatal fitness. She was very active throughout her pregnancy, all the while proudly sporting her "Birth is Not an Illness" T-shirt at the gym. Dee welcomed little Ryder into the world in January 2004 and within 6 weeks she was back at the gym. Since becoming a mom, Dee has reached her personal best in fitness. Now, she wants to share her love of fitness and all things "birthy" with other women.
Dee has over 8 years professional work experience as a Labour Doula, Post-Partum Doula and a Certified Breastfeeding Counselor. She also served as Vice-President of the BC Doula Services Association. Additionally, Dee has pursued post-secondary studies in psychology, food and nutrition. Most recently, Dee became a stylist with Yummy Mummy Makeovers so she could continue working with moms, but offer a completely different service that helped women to love their bodies.
Dee makes it a priority in her classes to help participants make connections in class. Motherhood can be an isolating experience. Moms need comrades! Many long lasting and meaningful friendships have come out of her classes.
Dee has been featured on Breakfast Television, CBC's Living Vancouver, in Metro Vancouver Newspaper and in British Columbia Magazine.
Dee firmly believes that healthy moms are healthy role models for their children.

First 30 Minutes
Retrain your mind-CORE connection after pregnancy and childbirth. We will be using the latest research to help you improve CORE strength and flatten your tummy. It is time to get strong from the inside out. Not only will you look and feel better, but you will have the strength to tackle the everyday tasks of motherhood. This class is suitable (and effective) for women with abdominal separation. Pre-mobile babies only please.
Second 30 Minutes:
Connect with your baby through nurturing touch. Infant massage helps baby sleep better, relaxes and soothes, aids digestion, contributes to development, encourages bonding & improves communication. Research shows further benefits for babies with colic, eczema, babies with special needs and adoptive families. Mats, oil & handouts are provided. Please bring a blanket for baby. This class is designed for pre-mobile babies.

Prenatal fitness gave me the confidence to safely workout while pregnant. The classes were actual workouts and Dee did not treat us like delicate flowers, which I loved.
